Background

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a graduate of the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College in New York.  I have completed advanced training in psychodynamic therapy at the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Study Center (PPSC) and in couples therapy through the Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).

My practice is enhanced by the specialized training I have received in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Polyvagal Theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Trauma theory. On an ongoing basis, I continue to develop my education through supervision and workshops.

In addition to my private practice work, I have also worked with children, adolescents, and their families as a school-based social worker helping families navigate stressors.

Prior to entering the mental health field, I enjoyed a career in Documentary and Narrative Film as a Writer, Producer, and Director. My past work in the creative field enhanced my attunement with clients in the arts as well as with individuals motivated to strike out in a new direction.
